Dr. Borko Djordjevic is always in the forefront of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery's latest advances. With offices in Palm Springs, Beverly Bills, and Montecito, he is also very aware of the enhancement desires of Southern California's people. Although his practice includes many headliners from the entertainment world of Las Vegas, TV and motion pictures, low-key socialites from London, Paris, etc. whisper his name to confidants... they often become friends and invite him to their home for special events. Philanthropically, however, Dr. Djordjevic is especially sensitive to young burn victims and regularly donates part of his time to them through his foundation.

Dr. Djordjevic was the "best kept secret" of the Gabors, performing facelifts twice for Magda and once for both Eva and Jolie... their last, incidentally...they didn't need another...Jolie's lasted from '81 to '96 and Eva from '82 to '95.

Dr. Djordjevic's techniques have been honed to perfection. After four years in his native Yugoslavia helping wounded war victims and working under the most primitive conditions, his touch became much more sensitive. In an underground basement, where loss of sight, limb, and facial disfigurement was a minute to minute crisis, his dexterity and ingenuity was stretched to the limit. As a result, he accomplished more in less time and shortened the recovery period.

Dr. Djordjevic notes the changes in plastic and reconstructive surgery are phenomenal. Most dramatic is the endoscopic forehead and upper facelift. Most popular is the new erbium YAG laser for that "week-end face-lifter"...it's effective, less invasive, and goes far beyond the ordinary laser removal of wrinkles, scars, age and sunspots. The YAG resurfaces both hands and necks...it seems a miracle! But even more miraculous, the YAG, in competent hands, lifts the brow and reduces frown lines, while lessening post-operative redness. Another refining technique is ultra-sonic assisted liposuction (UAL), which helps with fat removal in the back, upper abdomen and male breasts...this technique utilizes an internal probe which emulsifies the fat before it is removed.

In order to perfect his skills and be on the cutting edge of the latest technological advancements, Dr. Djordjevic spent '96 at Stanford and Harvard and also regularly attends innovative symposiums and seminars. Dr. Djordjevic has abanded his free-standing, out-patient, surgical center...replacing it with a semi-hospital setup and all new equipment. He has also taken the time to train a highly professional staff that includes a Board certified anaesthologist...all this, goes a long way in controlling all aspects of recovery, which includes bleeding and nausea. And for those who scar easily, there is a new and exceptionally effective preventive cream. Today, with all of these improvements and new techniques, Dr. Djordjevic is positive that any candidate with reasonable goals for enhancement surgery should have perfect results.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Djordjevic is available for consultation at UCLA and use USC schools of Medicine. He is currently working with an L.A. based Teleplasr, an international satellite program that facilitates communication between physicians in a world wide network of teaching centers, and he videotaping to teach surgical techniques to others.
